An Archeological Dig…of sorts

We generate a TON of scraps in the shop, and I just can’t bear to part with them, always thinking that we can do something with them. I finally realized while doing some spring cleaning in our upstairs storage room that the scraps had to go…

This is what almost six years’ worth of scraps looks like…minus those few that we really did find a use for over the past few years! I found scraps of some of the first fabric collections I ordered for the shop…Moda, Benartex, Kaufman…you name it and we found it. There are flannels, batiks, Minkee, corduroys…all sorts of fabrics along with the regular cottons…and not just in itty bitty pieces either!

So tomorrow we’re hosting an archeological dig Scrap Buffet and we’re inviting everyone to come dig in our scraps! We’ve got take-out boxes ready to be stuffed with all you can put in there and still close the lid (even with a rubber band!) for just $5.00!

If I wasn’t so sick of looking at these scraps by now, I’d be digging around in there myself! Come play with us and see what treasures you can unearth!

Oh-my–too bad GA is so far away, otherwise I’d be there in a heart beat. Hope you take pictures of all the lucky gals who get some of these treasures.

Oh, I wish I lived close enough to attend. I would be buying fabrics for my church’s quilt ministry. We make quilts, pair them with stuffies, and give them to the local fire department for kids in crisis situations. Good luck in getting rid of your scraps and I’m sure the ladies will have a blast. Take care and God bless, Cory
