I’ve missed my calling…I should have been a race car driver! Remember all those pillowcases I had planned to make yesterday? Done – finished – completed!!!

From this  

 to this  in 2.1 hours!!!

Thanks to Becky’s suggestion that I use her serger to get them done, I was able to finish all 35 in just a little over 2 hours! And before you ask, that does not include cutting them out – I did all of that the day before!

Serging is the way to go with this many pillowcases. I am usually slow and methodical when it comes to sewing…but once Becky showed me how to use her serger, it was truly “pedal to the medal” all the way! And there was something really cathartic about hearing that serger hum and watching those little slivers of fabric just fall away, leaving behind a perfect seam! Sort of made me wish I had more to do when I’d finished…NOT!

Hope you’ve had a quilty sort of day. I’m heading home to leftovers for dinner and a little snuggle time with my laptop! (now how weird is that?)
