Join Us For A Pantie Raid!
Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010It’s that time of the year when we are all reminded of our many blessings, and I always feel compelled to help those who are less fortunate. Last year we hosted our first Pantie Raid Weekend at Thanksgiving and collected over 300 pair of women’s and children’s undies, which were donated to Project ReNeWal Domestic Violence Intervention Program.
This year, we’re hosting our Second Annual Pantie Raid, and I’m thrilled to be joined by 11 of my shop owner friends in this effort. We all want to make a difference and have joined forces to help those in need in our own communities and we’re asking you to help us out. Beginning Thanksgiving weekend, for each package of women’s and/or children’s underwear you donate, we’ll give you a free fat quarter. Each shop has 400 fat quarters to give away…just imagine the thousands of women and children we could help! So while you’re out shopping this weekend, pick up a couple of packages underwear (don’t forget the plus sizes and little boy’s!) and drop them off at Sweet Home.
Our quilt shops are spread out all over the country, and we’ve all arranged to give what we collect to various organizations within our own communities. Once again, we’ll be passing our collections on to Project ReNeWal.
If you’re in Atlanta, drop your donations by Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving, or any time through December 4th. If you live somewhere else or will be visiting in another state, here’s the list of participating quilt shops where you can drop your panties!

I appreciate your support whenever I ask you to help out with our community service projects. We all have so much to be thankful for … let’s pay it forward!
