The Care and Feeding of a Quilt Shop Owner
Wednesday, May 25th, 2011Nothing restores my energy and enthusiasm like a trip to Quilt Market. Days of fun, inspiration, shopping, planning…it just puts the spring back in my step! Spring Quilt Market was held in Salt Lake City, Utah this year, a beautiful city that welcomed market attendees at every turn! Come along as I share a little of my trip with you…
The weather was perfect even with lots of snow still on the mountain ranges in the distance!
We managed a quick visit to a couple of local quilt shops. First up was Piper’s Quilts, and inspiration was every where! Plus we got to meet Lynette Anderson who was there for a meet and greet, too.
The shop was named for the owner’s grandmother and this was her hat collection.
The outside displays were as cute as inside!
We made our way over to Pine Needles Quilt Shop…inspiration overload here!
This shop was located in a little area called Gardner’s Village that was just one cute shop after another…
We managed to find Pat’s BBQ in time for dinner, and the food was just as good as Guy said it was! Pat’s was featured on one of my favorite TV shows, Diners, Drive-ins and Dives!
I can’t think of anything better than spending a fun afternoon with good friends doing what we love best! The fun and laughter never stopped, and it was just the tonic I needed! Stay tuned for more…I’ve still got tons of photos to share!
